Skyrock Star: Your blog is displayed on the Skyrock Homepage for 1 whole week before being immortalised in the Hall of Fame.
Top Blog: Your blog is displayed in large on the 'Blog' page before becoming a Blog Star the next day.
These changes will give even more of you the exposure your hard work deserves ! So, here's some tips to improve your chances of one day being displayed on the Skyrock homepage:
Originality : Stand out from the crowd with original updates Quality : In every aspect of your blog Hard work: It's good if we can tell you've spent time on your blog Emotion If your blog makes us laugh or cry. Basically, the more it evokes a reaction, the better your chance ! Respect : Maybe it's time to check out our Terms of Service !
We've got something new for you - now you can see if someone is connected to Skyrock Chat! The channel they are in and their nickname is displayed on their profile, allowing you to easily catch up with friends !
If you click their nickname or'Chat'on the left-hand menu the chat will open straight away !
Now when you do aprofile searchthe most recently logged in users appear first, so no more streams of old profiles !
That's not all though - you can choose whether to see results displayed in 'Simple' mode (where only users photos and nicknames are displayed) or in 'Complete' mode (photo, nickname, age, country, area, town etc...)
So, have you found the person you're looking for ?
But why change? It's how your Skyrock friends know you and you risk losing touch with them.
If you really do want a new username then there's only one option –a new account. There's no need to change email address though : you can create numerous accounts, blogs and profiles using the same address!
So why not keep your old blog for the memories and so you can still link to your favourite articles.
Now on chat, whenever your nickname is mentioned by other users, whether in a channel or private, that channel's tab will appear highlighted in red.
It's easy to turn on, simply click on the 'Options' icon at the top right of the chat window and tick the box 'Highlight messages where I get mentioned'. If you enable 'Sound notifications' a noise will also alert you.
